Our Little Talker

For not even 16 months old, Adam has quite a vocabulary. I decided to write down all the words and phrases he currently says on a regular basis....it's pretty impressive. But, of course, everything this little boy does is impressive to his Mommy and Daddy. And isn't it a Mommy's prerogative to brag??? Now if only he would walk...7 steps on Sunday and 7 today at school (multiple times, according to his teachers). He's getting there!

Words as of August 12, 2010:

Mama

Dada

Adam (he points to himself and says it and says it when he sees himself in the mirror)

Ellen (when he points to Ellen's picture....can't quite say Carly yet)

Water

Flower (his current favorite)

Book (although it sounds like "bookie")

All Done

Over There

What's That? (sounds like wuh dat)

Bye Bye

Night Night

Car (it sounds nothing like "car" but it's the same word every time)

Tree (ditto above for car!)

Diaper

Alligator

Elephant (sounds like "ella")

Lion

Monkey

Tiger

Doggie

Kitty

Birdie

Teddy Bear

Window

Hot (he seems to think everything I put on his tray is hot, even when it's not! And he loves to remind me that the straps to the carseat might be hot)

Banana (more like "nana")

More (says "mama")

Elmo (sounds like "elma")

Nose ("neh neh")

No ("neh" "neh" neh")

Ant (there's an ant in one of his favorite books...)

And he can say the names of most of the kids in his daycare class....both when he sees them in person and when he sees their pictures!

Brooklyn (he LOVES to say this....says "brookie"....it's too cute!)
